I agree about what you say about the qualities of a mortgage broker. I would like to add that you should also ask your broker if he owns a property and if you are looking for an investment property make sure your broker owns investment properties. How can someone advise you on structuring an investment property loan when they don’t have any? The loan structure is critical for tax purposes and to ensure that you can build a portfolio in the most effective way.
