We’re sure you’ve been in that position where you drive by a row of houses that really catch your attention, and end up daydreaming about actually living in that house. Well, this shows how important it is that your modern home looks picture perfect not only on the inside but outside too.

You may not have the time, or you might not think that anyone really cares about what your house looks like, but in reality, it’s more than you think. Just like a person where they get judged based on what they look like or what they show on the outside, so does your home.

There are many ways to boost your home’s curb appeal to make it stand out and add value. It won’t require too much effort, but these are just simple ideas to make sure your house is good enough to allow someone to daydream about owning a house like yours.

1. Choose the right color for your walls

Colors can really attract someone’s eyes, so choosing the right color should be one of your priorities. Having cream hues, as well as beige or brown shades make your house look more polished and clean.

Make sure you use the right type of paint as well so that it doesn’t chip off easily. If you can’t paint your walls, you can always paint your garage doors, front door, or anything that can be painted. Further, check if all the colors coordinate with each other. You wouldn’t want your house to seem like an explosion of paint.

Do your research on the right shades to use for everything. This will really help in making your curbs appeal neater.

2. Make sure it is not crowded

This can mean plants, trees, lights, etc., basically anything at the front of your house. Make sure the plants are not full of weeds and are not completely covering the view of your house.

Keep your grass trimmed and change the layout of your plants. You can place them neatly in a line or whichever manner you want, just make sure that it is not scattered everywhere. Also, make sure there are just about enough plants at the front. Don’t put it in the way as it could be a distraction.

3. Clean your walls

Cleaning your walls can cost a lot depending on your house. If you’re on a budget, then just do it on your own. One way to clean your house is by pressure washing it using a cleaning solution made for the outside of your house, as others can damage your walls. This will definitely be an upgrade to your curbs appeal.

4. Fix broken fences

The number one makeover that will really make your house seem brand new is fixing broken fences or gates. You can also repaint them if they have cracks or peeled off paint, or if they need to be polished.
